I may be wrong, but it's my understanding Bill HR2900 passed in the House last year and is waiting on vote by the Senate. Debate may be taking place on a companion Bill S1082 rather than HR2900.

These bills concern FDA control and regulation over supplements and as far as I know, are the equivalent to the proposed Canadian regulations.

What does this means to Americans?

The FDA at their discretion, can regulate supplements used to treat medical conditions.
